Ray’s vision and passion for quality service, is represented by our motto “Done once, done right!” Hubbard Garage Doors is ‘the’ company to call for specialty doors and technical difficulties. Of course, we also offer new residential garage doors and repairs, residential opener repairs, gate automation, commercial doors, commercial openers, and commercial door and opener repairs.  Hubbard Garage also knows that Broken Springs are one common and essential specialty requiring quick service and for which a priority is made.

Ray Hubbard, owner and founder of T. R. Hubbard Garage Doors, began working in the construction industry while still in college.  He spent time roofing, laying concrete, framing, installing doors and windows, electrical and plumbing, and installing solar systems. In 1990 he went into business with his brother for a time doing general construction and then he partnered up with his father to purchase and restore homes for resale.  In June of 1993, the market for flipping houses went soft and Ray was looking for a new career.

 

Ray found employment with a garage door company.  He felt immediately that he had found his niche; the work suited his combination of mechanical and construction skills and the fast pace and meeting real needs of people was a perfect fit for his personality.  In November of 1997, Ray earned his California State Contractors license and began T. R. Hubbard Garage Doors.  Initially, the business was centered in Camarillo CA reaching all of Ventura County, CA.  In 2000 the business was relocated to Simi Valley, CA.  In 2010 another relocation became necessary and the family moved to Lancaster, CA. With that move, we added the entire Antelope Valley and Kern County to our service area. After 25 years in business, we encountered COVID-19.  We were legally able and willing to work, but we couldn't get parts like springs or openers.  In May of 2022, Ray relocated his family to Oklahoma.   Thomas Hubbard, the youngest of the Hubbard boys, is ready and ambitious to pick up the Hubbard Garage Door legacy, with Dad in tow.
